James here, artist-educator, tutor at Heatherleys School of Fine Art in Chelsea and justlife.art in Zennor, West Cornwall.

Being a director of the Royal Society of Portrait Painters, which is a registered charity, has provided me with valuable experience which I hope will be useful as justlife.art CIC locates and secures a permanent venue as it is expanding and developing into a a pioneering Art School specialising in portrait, life, figurative, expressive and narrative drawing and painting.

My role as Director is very much to be an advisor and support to the vision that Rose has laid out to be inclusive, especially for people with lived experience of mental health, neurological-diversity, disability, lgbtqia+, black asian and ethnic minority, and anyone who feels marginalised for whatever reason. To provide subsidised places on courses and sessions where needed, whilst delivering the highest calibre of art education.
