About the Session
Dave is an experienced, professional and popular life model who has been learning the art of Shibari.
Usually, in the Shibari life drawing sessions in London, the model who is having ropes tied around their body has someone called a ‘rigger’ doing this for/to them. It’s usually a close relationship involving enormous trust. This allows for a wider array of positions and ropes being tied from limb to limb in unusual ways.
However this is early days for Dave and he does not yet have someone experienced to tue the ropes for him, though I may step in and help where needed. Plus this will be Dave’s first life session using the art of Shibari.
So this will be an experimental session, and there may be times where it takes a little while to get the ropes tied and for Dave to get into position. So please be patient and maybe draw Dave whilst he is tying rope around himself as well as when he is in position.
This is a chance to study the artistry of the ropes and their connection to the human form. Their impression on the human form and the influence on the particular poses the model can take.
Pose length will be varied throughout the day, and at times may need to be adjusted.
As with all untutored sessions, please feel free to have your say, get involved, ask for what you want and need. We are a community interest company that aims to be community led. Although fundamentally one person has to be the lead, it is important that people get to have their say and feel involved.
What is provided?
All equipment, paper, and materials are provided but feel free to bring any favourites of your own. A selection of teas and coffee, organic milk and plant based milk, plus a selection of treats will also be available.
