Drawing the Clothed Figure
We live in a world where our relationship with materials and materiality are paramount. The textile, a second skin, a defence, an alter ego carries multiple narratives about our identity. This workshop looks at how drawing the clothed as opposed to the unclothed figure adds an extra dimension to documenting the figure. Sometimes taking precedence over the figure itself let colour, drape and pattern drive the narrative and broaden the boundaries of what Life Drawing can be. Kate will guide this experimental workshop which encourages fluid dynamic forms, embracing colour and pattern as much as the relaying of the figure itself.
